Capital Energy participated in a mining conference organized by the Financial Times on September 26-27.09.2024, where discussions focused on the challenges facing the mining sector. Governments have adopted adequate mineral strategies but often miss opportunities to provide timely support, one of the conclusions of the conference noted. The opening of new mines has slowed down, while demand for minerals continues to rise. The transition of society to renewable energy sources requires additional demand for new minerals to build new energy infrastructure. The 5th Financial Times Mining Summit brought together leading companies in the mining sector, the financial sector, and decision-makers from various countries to find sustainable solutions that will accelerate the energy transition.
